Back-End Software Engineer

Cloud platform and API development using Go, Python and C#

This is an opportunity to become a driving force behind the cutting-edge development of a cloud platform that provides a critical link between the design and realisation of new products.

The team is motivated, talented and possesses the ability to conceptualise effective solutions to complex problems. With an analytical mindset and a background in the successful design and implementation of large software systems, you will bring a technical skillset that includes languages such as Go and Python, as well as good experience of utilising services provided by cloud platforms, and an understanding of API design and development. You’ll combine this with the ability to communicate the team’s vision to stakeholders at a variety of levels.

You will need:

• A good degree or doctorate in an engineering or information technology field
• Fluency in Go (Golang) and / or Python
• A commercial background in cloud-first system design, infrastructure, and maintenance using either AWS or Azure
• Good knowledge of a variety of programming practices and methods and evidence of designing intent-based APIs using best practices
• Full right to work in the UK without time limit or sponsorship

As you will also be exposed to the following technologies, previous knowledge of them would also be particularly advantageous:

• RESTful APIs, GraphQL and CRUD operating systems
• C# and .Net Core
• Docker and containerization
• Frameworks such as ReactJS and Next.JS
• ORM frameworks
