Lead JavaScript Developer

This hands-on development role would appeal to an experienced JavaScript Engineer looking to move their career up a notch by taking on team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

This company has created an industry-leading data platform which abstracts away the complexity of disparate back end data sources to provide a simple and efficient toolkit for building bespoke business applications.

As well as continuing the development of their core product, once up to speed you would take a lead in architectural decisions and provide expertise in design and best industry practices to assist less experienced colleagues. Your role would include providing occasional consultancy to help customers to tailor the software to their needs, but the work will be almost entirely office-based with minimal travel to clients’ sites.

• A strong academic background with a 1st or 2.1 degree in a STEM subject from a top university (Russell Group, or non-UK equivalent) as well as top grades at A level (or equivalent)
• Substantial commercial software development experience in JavaScript. Azure experience is valuable but not essential, as are languages such as C#, Node.js, and HTML5. Please note that extensive experience will not obviate the need for strong degree and A level grades
