Job description

Located within the Mass Engagement department of the Communications & Fundraising Directorate, the Digital Product team is responsible for the global website platform for WaterAid. We support and directly deliver activities to grow online revenue and supporter engagement as well as supporting digital activities globally across the international WaterAid Federation., As Digital Project Manager you will take responsibility for major web development projects across and work closely with fundraising to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with internal teams and third parties to ensure that all aspects of our projects are delivered accurately and to required deadlines Consult with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, building on the initial feasibility work of the Product Manager.
  • Create and maintain project plans and establish commitment to plan with the stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Maintain the integrity of the project and push back when the scope creeps or suggested budgets are not realistic.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of successful Project Management (PM) on digital projects, including planning, scoping and specification phase
  • Strong understanding of enterprise level Content Management Systems
  • Ability to work independently under own initiative
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to influence stakeholders

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

  • Working knowledge of Drupal CMS
  • Experience working with outsourced development agencies
  • Good understanding of user experience (UX) and information architecture principles
  • Understanding of Fundraising, particularly in the international development sector

Salary: £52,468 per year pro rata with excellent benefits

As part of our annual leave policy, all employees receive three additional days of annual leave on top of their standard allocation of 25 days. These days are designated to cover the period when our UK office closes between Christmas and New Year, allowing all UK WaterAiders to take a well-deserved break.

These days are automatically scheduled and cannot be changed or moved. Annual leave is accrued based on your start date. If sufficient leave has not been accrued by the time of the closure, the 3 days will be taken as unpaid leave or pro-rated, depending on your circumstances.
