Data Scientist - Global Retail Brand - Up to 16M JPY

A global retail and consumer business is seeking a senior Data Science & AI leader to drive enterprise-wide business transformation through advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. As part of a high-impact digital transformation organization, you will work closely with executive leadership to define data strategy, scale AI adoption, build high-performing teams, and deliver measurable business outcomes across areas such as demand forecasting, supply chain optimization, product planning, and generative AI.

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s Data Science and AI strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and growth plans. You will identify and prioritize high-impact initiatives, manage investment decisions and project roadmaps, and oversee the successful delivery and adoption of AI-powered solutions across the organization. Working closely with business leaders, technology teams, and executive stakeholders, you will drive data-informed decision-making and lead large-scale, cross-functional transformation projects.

• Significant experience in Data Science, AI, Analytics, or related fields
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and large-scale projects
• Strong track record of solving business challenges through data and AI
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Business-level English proficiency, Japanese proficiency is a plus
