Technical Product Manager for HTML5 TV Applications /x)

As Product Owner (m/f/d/x) - HTML5 TV Applications, you are responsible for the product strategy and evolution of our HTML5-based TV applications. These include web applications, Smart TV platforms such as Samsung, LG, Hisense, and Titan OS, as well as hardware-constrained operator-tier TV devices. You own the roadmap and Product Backlog for shared HTML5 client capabilities and ensure that business logic, reusable components, and shared client frameworks are leveraged as efficiently as possible across different platforms. Together with Engineering, Architecture, Product Experience, QA, and relevant business stakeholders, you ensure scalable, high-performing, and consistent client solutions that support a broad range of devices with varying hardware capabilities. Your responsibilities

• You define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for HTML5 TV applications and shared client frameworks.
• You own and prioritize the Product Backlog for shared HTML5 client capabilities and reusable framework components.
• You drive the adoption of shared business logic, reusable UI components, and common development frameworks across web applications, Smart TVs, and operator-tier TV devices.
• You work closely with Engineering and Architecture to define scalable client architectures, performance standards, and integration patterns.
• You ensure that applications perform reliably and efficiently even on hardware-constrained devices while maintaining functional consistency across different platforms.
• You work closely with Product Experience to enable a consistent customer experience across all HTML5-based TV clients.
• You define relevant product and quality KPIs and continuously monitor application quality, performance, the degree of component reuse, and engineering efficiency.
• You collaborate closely with the other Client Product Owners to ensure consistent technical and functional evolution across the entire TV ecosystem.
• You translate functional and technical requirements into clearly prioritized backlog items and support Engineering teams throughout refinement and implementation., * The successful and reliable delivery of new HTML5 client features and releases.
• An increasing level of reuse of business logic, components, and client frameworks.

In addition to a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a comparable technical discipline, you have at least five years of professional experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role with responsibility for HTML5, web, or Smart TV applications. Your additional skills include:

• A solid understanding of modern HTML5 application architectures, JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, and web technologies.
• Experience working with cross-functional Engineering teams in agile development environments.
• The ability to structure and prioritize technical and business requirements and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• A good understanding of APIs, software architecture, and integration principles.
• A good understanding of performance optimization for embedded and hardware-constrained devices.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Smart TV platforms such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Hisense VIDAA, or Titan OS, as well as web applications and Android Operator Tier TV.
• Experience with client frameworks such as LightningJS, React, React Native Web, or comparable technologies.
• Experience optimizing performance for embedded systems and hardware-constrained devices.
• Experience with OTT, IPTV, or streaming applications.
• Experience in telecommunications or digital entertainment services.
