Job description

The Visual Content Designer is a full-time, remote role responsible for creating compelling visual materials that bring our organizing programs to life. This position involves designing participant-facing content such as slide decks, graphics, toolkits, and digital assets that are seen, used, and shared by tens of thousands of individuals. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, works efficiently under tight deadlines, and demonstrates creative flexibility. They are comfortable working within established templates and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across various materials. The role requires a proactive approach to designing engaging visuals for program events, social media, recruitment efforts, and partner collaborations. The designer will collaborate closely with teams across the organization, utilizing tools like Notion, Canva, Google Workspace, and Slack to deliver high-quality work on schedule. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic team committed to electoral engagement and community empowerment., * Design engaging slide decks for program events, training sessions, and presentations

  • Create graphics and visual assets for informational videos, including tutorials and promotional content for Rally platform
  • Develop brand assets such as logos, headers, and Zoom backgrounds to support organizational branding
  • Produce social media graphics, including posts, video clips, GIFs, and advertisements to promote events and mobilization efforts
  • Design flyers, shareable toolkits, and organizer graphics for use by staff and participants
  • Generate visuals for recruitment campaigns and partner outreach as needed
  • Adhere to existing templates and brand guidelines, while providing suggestions for new assets to enhance visual impact
  • Utilize collaboration tools like Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery
  • Take on additional design responsibilities aligned with program needs, demonstrating flexibility and initiative

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of design experience, preferably in organizing, advocacy, campaigns, nonprofits, or mission-driven sectors
  • Strong proficiency in Canva and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to execute quickly and creatively across diverse formats
  • Experience working from templates and brand guidelines to maintain visual consistency
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments with multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with tools such as Notion, Google Workspace, and Slack, with a willingness to learn new platforms
  • Video editing skills are a strong plus
  • Reliable access to a computer and high-speed internet connection
  • Enthusiasm for professional growth and early-career development
