Solution Architect

• Design end-to-end solutions for large-scale banking applications.
• Define microservices, APIs, integration patterns, data flows, and system components.
• Work with business and technical teams to convert requirements into detailed technical solutions.
• Provide technical direction to Java/Spring Boot development teams.
• Design scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant applications.
• Define communication patterns between microservices, including REST and event-driven approaches.
• Guide teams on distributed transactions, data consistency, error handling, and recovery.
• Review technical designs and ensure architecture standards are followed.
• Support cloud-native application design and containerized deployments.
• Work closely with DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams.
• Support modernization of legacy applications into microservices-based platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex architectural and production issues.
• Ensure solutions meet banking security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Technical Depth Expected

The candidate should be able to explain and defend architecture decisions, including:

• How to break a large application into microservices
• How to determine appropriate service boundaries
• REST vs. event-driven communication
• How to handle distributed transactions and data consistency
• Saga - Choreography vs. Orchestration
• Retry, timeout, circuit breaker, and backoff strategies
• How to prevent cascading failures
• Kubernetes deployment, scaling, health checks, and troubleshooting
• CI/CD deployment and rollback strategies
• Security and API integration
• High availability and scalability
• Production failure scenarios and recovery
• Architectural trade-offs and design alternatives, We need someone who can architect the solution and also go deep technically-understand how the microservices will communicate, how failures will be handled, how the application will scale, how it will be deployed on Kubernetes/cloud, and how the development team should implement the architecture.

We are looking for a hands-on Solution Architect with 10+ years of experience to design and guide enterprise applications for a Banking client.

The candidate must have strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Distributed Systems, REST APIs, Angular, Cloud, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Banking experience is required. Credit Card / Payments experience is highly preferred.

This is a technical Solution Architect role, not a high-level architecture or documentation-only position. The candidate should be capable of making technical decisions, explaining design trade-offs, guiding development teams, and addressing complex production issues.
