Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the Equity Trading Platform Engineering team supporting mission-critical trading applications and Fidessa OMS/EMS workflows used by internal business users and external clients. The SRE will be responsible for the stability, resiliency, performance, availability, and production support of front-office equity trading systems., * Provide front-line SRE and production support for Equity Trading Systems, including Fidessa workflows.

Support critical trading workflows such as order routing, FIX connectivity, and algorithmic trading.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, infrastructure, connectivity, and database issues.
Monitor application and infrastructure health and develop/enhance monitoring and observability solutions.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and operational tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve platform stability.
Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, operational processes, and platform architecture.
Participate in global production support, including on-call rotations.

Requirements

Strong production support experience with front-office trading systems.
Hands-on experience with the Fidessa OMS/EMS platform.
Strong understanding of FIX Protocol and trading workflows.
Experience supporting multiple asset classes.

Operating Systems & Scripting

Strong troubleshooting experience with Linux, Unix, Windows Server, and databases.
Strong scripting/automation experience with Python, Bash, SQL, and more.

Monitoring & Observability

Experience with tools like Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and more.

Databases

Experience with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

Messaging & Integration

Working knowledge of messaging platforms like IBM MQ, Kafka, and more.

Networking

Strong understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, and more.

DevOps / CI/CD

Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, and more.

Cloud & Containers

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

Soft Skills

Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
