Job description

As an MTS Scientist, you will provide technical support to manufacturing by conducting laboratory testing and assisting in investigations and qualification projects. Your primary goal will be to perform high-volume automated testing to ensure that raw materials and samples meet established requirements., * Define the scope, execute, and complete investigations or projects with guidance, reaching logical conclusions.

  • Understand the products and scientific techniques being used, and locate relevant information using tools like lot files, Q-pulse, Trackwise, LN, DHF, and risk assessment tools (PFMEA).
  • Utilize statistical software (e.g., MiniTab, JMP, Excel) to compile and analyze data for trends and systemic issues.
  • Apply root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, fishbone, process maps) to develop corrective and preventative actions, process improvements, and reagent development.
  • Complete required documentation with minimal errors suitable for audits and maintain data and test samples in an organized manner.
  • Present investigation scopes, progress, and conclusions clearly through written reports and oral presentations, while developing basic technical writing skills.
  • Work irregular hours as needed to meet project schedules and comply with safety requirements, including OSHA regulations.
  • Minimize NCRs or deviations, participate in investigations, and ensure compliance with current regulatory standards.
  • Escalate issues and non-compliance situations, work effectively in team situations, and maintain accountability and integrity.

Requirements

  • Clinical laboratory testing
  • High throughput automated laboratory equipment
  • Medical laboratory experience
  • 6+ months of experience utilizing automated laboratory equipment
  • Previous experience testing blood samples
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting (academic or clinical)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical science field preferred but not required
  • Experience with automated equipment, high throughput/high volume testing
  • Experience with blood or plasma samples

Benefits & conditions

The work environment includes shifts from 11am-7pm, 12pm-8pm, and 1pm-9pm, Monday through Friday. Initial training will be conducted Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm for two weeks. Safety compliance with OSHA regulations is required, and flexibility in working hours is necessary to accommodate project needs. Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
