Job description
A growing, product-led software business is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Product Development team on a hybrid basis (two days a week on-site in Newark). - Delivering new features, enhancements, integrations and internal automations
- Investigating, diagnosing and resolving production issues, keeping stakeholders updated throughout

- Supporting customers and third-party developers integrating with the platform, including API troubleshooting
- Collaborating with Product, Development and Operations teams to test, validate and release new functionality
- Making sensible use of modern and AI-assisted development tools, always reviewing and validating outputs
- Contributing to documentation, knowledge base articles and support procedures
Requirements
- Strong programming and debugging skills across C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and SQL Server / MySQL
- Solid understanding of API development and integration (RESTful and SOAP, JSON and XML)
- Experience in software support, systems integration or application troubleshooting, ideally in a customer-facing or production environment
- Familiarity with API tooling such as Postman or Swagger
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern DevOps practices (source control, issue tracking, deployment pipelines)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a genuine eye for root cause
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences alike
- Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools with sound judgement
- A proactive, humble approach to learning - passionate about tech and keen to keep improving

- Hybrid working - only two days a week on-site in Newark

- Modern stack and up-to-date tooling, including AI-assisted development platforms
- International, product-led business with real scope to learn and progress
