Job description

One of the largest global HFT funds is looking for a talented and dynamic engineer for one of their growing quant trading teams to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects.

You will collaborate extensively with traders and technologists, taking ownership of both trading & operational issues, as well as the deployment process for production trading, with a view to making it fault-tolerant and scalable. This will involve writing and maintaining a complex Python infrastructure alongside configuration management of the production servers.

Unique in their field, this firm combines the lively, positive spirit of a start-up with the stability of a longer-established player. If you’re keen to learn about automated electronic trading, and can solve difficult technical problems in a fast-paced and energetic environment, this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Strong Python & Linux skills, with some C++/SQL knowledge preferable
  • Solid debugging skills in code development and infrastructure
  • Good instincts surrounding performance vs simplicity trade-offs
  • Comfortable taking ownership of projects & capable of driving multiple projects through to completion simultaneously
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive base salary & bonus
  • Enormous opportunity to grow, learn and have a significant business impact
  • Contributions are rewarded; career progression supported
  • Substantial benefits package, including private medical, paid parental leave, group life assurance & parking/cycle schemes

Whilst we carefully review all applications, to all jobs, due to the high volume of applications we receive it is not possible to respond to those who have not been successful.
