Job description

One of the largest global HFT funds is looking for a highly proactive engineer with a background in IT operations to join their rapidly expanding crypto division as they help shape the future of the industry.

Primarily responsible for monitoring and supporting trading system applications and exchanges, this role offers you the opportunity to:

  • Build and maintain a DevOps toolkit for production trading system (config + process management, deployment, monitoring, data collection, & analysis)
  • Interact directly with traders & developers, collaborating on technology changes, managing incidents, and troubleshooting problems
  • Handle daily software deployments and configuration changes to a complex, global hardware and software footprint

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an IT ops role (DevOps, Linux Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, etc.)
  • C++ knowledge required
  • Fluency in Python and shell scripting
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Systematic, analytical approach to problem solving

Desirable

  • Crypto markets experience
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, e.g. routing, multicast, LLDP, VLAN tagging, ethernet
