Job description

San Pedro Playhouse and Classic Theatre are seeking a creative, organized, and socially savvy Graphic Design & Social Media Coordinator to join our growing marketing team. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of our social media presence across all platforms, the design of accompanying digital and print graphics, and the capture of photo and video content at productions and events. The ideal candidate has a strong design eye, a natural instinct for social storytelling, and a genuine love of live theatre and the arts., Social Media Management

  • Manage and maintain daily social media presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms
  • Develop and execute a content calendar in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Sales
  • Write captions, schedule posts, and engage with followers and community partners
  • Monitor analytics and report on performance regularly
  • Stay current on platform trends and identify opportunities for creative content

Graphic Design

  • Design digital and print graphics for productions, events, education programs, and organizational announcements
  • Create assets for social media, email headers, digital ads, signage, and playbill materials
  • Maintain consistency with brand standards across all visual content
  • Work within Adobe Creative Suite and Canva; familiarity with both required

Photography & Video

  • Attend select productions, rehearsals, and events to capture photo and video content
  • Edit and prepare assets for use across social media and marketing channels
  • Build and maintain an organized library of visual assets

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Sales to align content with campaign priorities and production schedules
  • Coordinate with education, development, and front of house teams to capture and promote programming across the organization
  • Some evening and weekend availability required for productions and events, San Pedro Playhouse serves as the artistic hub of San Antonio that fosters a thriving arts community, contributing to the region’s vibrancy and creativity.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Photography?, * 1 to 3 years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Strong photography skills; basic video editing experience preferred
  • Excellent written communication skills and an ear for brand voice
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Passion for the performing arts and the ability to authentically represent the organization across all platforms
  • Portfolio of design and/or social media work required
  • Preferred (not required) experience in website design, development, or content management, including familiarity with platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, or similar CMS tools
