Job description
The User Experience Designer will be responsible for applying user-centered design methodologies in the development of software interfaces. This role involves conducting usability reviews, providing guidance to improve software products, and explaining usability principles to both technical teams and business sponsors., * Collaborate directly with business sponsors and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into highly usable, appealing interfaces.
- Engage early with the development team or clients to gain insights into business problems and goals.
- Conduct primary and secondary user research, including interviews, traffic analysis, and review of existing systems, to understand end-user needs.
- Perform user modeling and task analysis, developing personas and scenarios.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate user interaction behaviors.
- Ensure visual and interaction design consistency across applications.
- Develop content architecture, navigation structures, page layouts, and task flows.
- Identify usability issues and propose design solutions for existing applications.
- Present design mockups at various fidelity levels for review and approval.
- Create interaction models, screen designs, and UI details aimed at optimizing user experience.
- Advise on or develop solutions for complex usability and interaction challenges.
- Conduct heuristic evaluations of websites and web applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Web Design, or a related field.
- Extensive visual design expertise.
- Proven experience designing responsive websites.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, UX prototyping, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision, and wireframing tools.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap.
- Ability to address cross-browser and cross-platform UI compatibility issues.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UX/UI design standards, trends, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of the technical feasibility and limitations of web and mobile application design.
- Excellent aesthetic judgment with expertise in layout, grid systems, color, and typography.
- Strong communication skills and experience working iteratively with clients., * Certification from recognized usability or UX organizations (e.g., HFI, Nielsen Norman Group, UX Bootcamp).
- Experience in large-scale, Agile environments.
- Familiarity with storyboarding, prototyping tools, usability testing, and survey tools.
- Knowledge of human-computer interaction principles.
- Ability to produce deliverables within strict deadlines.
