Job description

Tavant Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices in an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB, along with experience building high-performance APIs and reusable software components., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based backend applications and microservices.

  • Build and maintain AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, and EKS.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and reusable Java libraries.
  • Develop high-performance and responsive applications.
  • Apply software design and architectural patterns to enterprise applications.
  • Work with Spring Framework and Spring Boot for microservices development.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to understand technical and business requirements.
  • Implement CI/CD processes using Jenkins, GitHub, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker.
  • Develop applications using both NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain backend applications.
  • Follow modern software-development practices and stay current with Java, cloud, and backend technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design and architecture decisions.

Requirements

  • 8-15 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 11, Java 17, and Java 21.
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience developing Microservices.
  • Knowledge of software design and architectural patterns.
  • Experience creating reusable Java libraries/components.
  • Experience with AWS environments.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • DynamoDB
  • S3
  • Lambda
  • IAM
  • EKS
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and Spinnaker.
  • Experience with Scala programming language.
  • Experience with NoSQL and relational databases.
  • Strong API development experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Scala, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, and Spinnaker is essential.
