The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Business area provides actionable intelligence for our warfighters and decision makers through innovative technical solutions from the seas to the stars. As a DevOps Systems Engineer in the Space System Product line, your key responsibilities will include working with the ISSE and other platform engineers supporting System Administration activities on classified cloud processing assets and mission unique equipment.You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for learning, and a customer-focused attitude. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality services in a cloud ecosystem.Your tasks may include:

  • Resolving system configuration and security patching vulnerability issues.
  • Managing system configuration changes and accurately assessing the impact of system and security configuration modifications upon operational system performance, security posture and compliance.
  • Performing platform installations and configurations of all development and delivered systems
  • Implement and maintain the cloud infrastructure in accordance with best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, understanding application needs.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment and continuous integration using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement optimizations to enhance system availability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Implement security measures and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents related to infrastructure, networking, and application deployment in a timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in DevOps to continuously improve the infrastructure and development processes.

Requirements

  • Hold an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate’s degree in IT (or equivalent coursework) and at least 2 years experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Advance knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of on-premises cloud infrastructure technologies (AWS).
  • Experience with at least one containerization technology (Kubernetes and Docker) and container orchestration platform (e.g., Rancher and Docker Swarm).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with at least one automation toolkit such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab.
  • Familiarity with at least one monitoring tool or frameworks (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, ELK stack).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience in lifecycle management, security, upgrades, automation, backups, and operational reliability of enterprise VM-based services.
  • Proficiency and consistency in generating documentation to capture administrative procedures and log configuration changes.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in an IT-related discipline.
  • Active COMPTIA Security certification.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph.
  • Experience deploying SaaS and PaaS services for use by other users.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and Tools.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Experience working in cross-functional teams.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and the nature of this particular role, the work will be performed full-time on site.This position is based out of our Merrimack NH facilities in the Northeast., Full-Time Salary Range: $118095 - $200762

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
