Job description
Kforce has a client seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Miami, FL (Florida)., * Design, develop, and maintain automated validation tests for applications, infrastructure, operating systems, databases, APIs, cloud services, and middleware following deployments
- Integrate smoke tests, health checks, service validations, and infrastructure verification into Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Support DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives by improving deployment reliability, operational readiness, and issue detection
- Automate validation of Windows/Linux patching, AWS infrastructure changes, Ansible deployments, configuration updates, and infrastructure-as-code implementations
- Establish quality gates, pipeline pass/fail criteria, automated reporting, and rollback readiness checks
- Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Shell scripting, Ansible, Jenkins, Selenium (or equivalent), and API testing tools
- Leverage monitoring, logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts to validate system health after change events
- Troubleshoot failed validations, identify root causes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Maintain runbooks, testing standards, operational procedures, and deployment validation documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud operations, systems engineering, automation, or related fields
- Strong experience with Windows, Linux, AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell
- Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, Git-based workflows, and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, API testing, observability platforms, and production support
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
