Senior Azure Cloud Architect - IAM

We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, strategy, and execution of enterprise cloud transformation initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in helping migrate complex on-premises data center environments into Microsoft Azure while establishing secure, scalable, and compliant cloud foundations.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Azure architecture expertise, strong Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities, and experience designing cloud environments from the ground up. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams to create and execute a cloud modernization roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Azure cloud solutions.

Develop and execute strategies for migrating on-premises infrastructure, applications, and workloads to Azure.

Design secure and scalable Azure landing zones and cloud governance frameworks.

Create Azure architecture standards, best practices, and reference designs.

Partner with security teams to establish identity, authentication, authorization, and access management controls.

Design and implement Azure networking, connectivity, and hybrid-cloud solutions.

Build cloud security architectures that align with organizational compliance and risk requirements.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and infrastructure teams throughout cloud transformation initiatives.

Evaluate existing environments and develop migration plans, roadmaps, and modernization strategies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into cloud architecture solutions.

Establish governance, monitoring, cost management, and operational best practices within Azure.

• 10+ years of infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise architecture experience.
• Deep expertise across Microsoft Azure services and cloud architecture best practices.
• Proven experience leading large-scale migrations from on-premises data centers to Azure.
• Strong Identity and Access Management (IAM) expertise, including:

-Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)

-RBAC

-Conditional Access

-Privileged Identity Management (PIM)

-Identity Governance

-Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

-Single Sign-On (SSO)

-Experience designing secure cloud environments and enterprise cloud governance models.

-Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and best practices.

-Experience with Azure networking, virtual networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence technical direction and drive cloud adoption strategies. Experience building and deploying greenfield Azure tenants from inception.

Experience establishing enterprise landing zones and cloud operating models.

Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or related Azure certifications.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates).

Familiarity with cloud compliance frameworks and security standards.

Experience modernizing enterprise infrastructure in highly regulated environments.

Background supporting global or large-scale enterprise organizations.
