We are working with a Global Professional Services client as they look to add to their Global Infrastructure Team with the appointment of an Infrastructure Engineer to complement their Manchester team.

Spanning Europe, Asia, America and the Middle East they have a workforce of more than 5,500 and continually invest in their Technology function. You are joining them as they continue their cloud journey globally. With a multibillion-dollar revenue they continually invest in tools and technology to improve the way in which they work.

You will work with both on-prem and cloud infrastructure and design, implement and manage solutions as part of your role.

It is essential that you have proven hands-on commercial experience with Kubernetes to be considered.

Key skills and experience required:

  • You MUST be able to evidence proven hands-on commercial experience with Kubernetes in a production environment (preferably Red Hat OpenShift)
  • You will have experience in automating infrastructure processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  • You will have experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (ie Azure DevOps, ArgoCD) and be able to demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services and solutions
  • Expertise in the VMware Cloud Foundation suite
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible
  • You will hold a Kubernetes certification, such as Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (RHCSA) or an equivalent (ie CKA/CKAD)
  • You will also hold certification in relation to on-prem solutions - this may be VMware Certified Professional (VCP), RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHSA), or similar and some form of Cloud certification(s) ie Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate etc

Hybrid working is offered. There is a requirement to be onsite 3 days a week and so you MUST live within east commute of central Manchester. Our client is renowned for the investment they make in their internal talent.
