Install & Systems Administrator

We are seeking an Install & Systems Administrator to support the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of tech-infrastructure and communication systems. This position is largely field-based and ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6; fiber a plus)
• Install and configure routers, switches, wireless access points, and racks
• Assist with VoIP phone system installations and troubleshooting
• Perform site surveys and assist with network layouts
• Troubleshoot connectivity, internet, and network-related issues
• Properly label, document, and test all installations
• Maintain a professional appearance and workspace at customer locations
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal team members

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in WAN?, * Experience with network or low-voltage installations

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, LAN/WAN)
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift equipment and occasionally work in attics, ceilings, ladders, and tight spaces
• Comfortable with travel around Louisiana and occasionally (2-10 times a year, outside Louisiana) for work site jobs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VoIP phone systems
• Fiber installation or termination experience
• Previous ISP, MSP, or telecom experience
• Networking certifications (CompTIA Network+, Cisco, etc.)
