Job description

I’m currently looking for an experienced Ruby Developer to join a growing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension.

This is a hands-on role where youll be working on the development and enhancement of modern software applications, collaborating closely with a wider engineering and product team.

What youll be doing

Designing, developing and maintaining scalable applications using Ruby Building clean, maintainable and well-tested code Developing and integrating APIs and backend services Collaborating with engineers, product and other stakeholders to deliver new features Contributing to technical discussions and improving engineering practices Supporting the maintenance and evolution of existing systems

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with Ruby Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs Strong understanding of software engineering best practices Experience with automated testing and writing high-quality, maintainable code Familiarity with modern development practices including CI/CD Experience working in Agile environments Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Benefits & conditions

Up to £425 per day (Outside IR35) 6 month contract Fully remote
