Network Engineer / Architect

GovCIO LLC seeks a Senior Network Engineer / Architect to design, secure, and optimize complex enterprise networks for federal agencies. You will lead architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity; harden and monitor network security; and ensure high availability for mission-critical systems. Partner with cybersecurity, cloud, and agile delivery teams to modernize legacy environments, document standards, mentor junior engineers, and support scalable, resilient infrastructures that power high-impact government programs., * Design and document scalable, secure network architectures for federal agency environments.

• Implement, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity solutions.
• Harden network security using firewalls, segmentation, and access controls to protect sensitive data.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, availability, and capacity using industry-standard tools.
• Troubleshoot complex network incidents and lead root cause analysis for mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams on modernization and migration projects.
• Develop and maintain network standards, diagrams, and runbooks for operations teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
