Up to £500 per day

Our client, a well-established organisation within the financial services and pensions sector, is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team on an initial six-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

This is a hands-on role supporting and enhancing a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure, with a particular focus on Azure, automation and enterprise systems. Working as part of a collaborative infrastructure team, the successful candidate will help maintain business-critical services, deliver infrastructure improvements and provide 3rd line technical expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and supporting Azure and on-premise infrastructure
Automating infrastructure tasks and deployments using PowerShell and Infrastructure as Code principles
Supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualisation and networking technologies
Contributing to infrastructure projects, system improvements and disaster recovery planning
Ensuring secure, resilient and high-performing IT services

To be considered, candidates should have:

Strong experience supporting enterprise Microsoft infrastructure
Excellent PowerShell scripting and automation skills
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and VMware or Hyper-V
Good understanding of networking, backup and disaster recovery
Experience working within an ITIL environment

Experience with Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, SCCM or Azure certifications would be advantageous.
