Data Governance Lead - Global/Financial Services - Central London
95k - 115k per annum plus excellent benefits - 4 days per week on-site expected, one day from home.
Data Governance Lead with global remit required for a leading International Bank in Central London where you will play a key part in implementing and operationalising the banks data policy across 8 international locations. This is a brand new role for the organisation, and will be part of a small team, so being a real self-starter with excellent stakeholder management skills is essential for this role.
Within the role:
- Act as the person responsible for implementing and operationalising the banks data policy, translating group requirements into locally applicable procedures.
- Establish and run a local data governance forum, and report regularly on local data management maturity, data quality KPIs and open risks to local leadership.
- Maintain current knowledge of data-related regulation relevant to the branches in scope - including data protection law.
- Serve at the local coordination point for third-party risk assessments, client due-diligence requests.
- Drive data quality monitoring for critical data produced across the international locations.
- Extensive experience gained in data management, governance & risk - preferably in banking or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with at least one of the following: BCBS 239, UK GDPR, operational resilience regulation or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with SQL and understanding of visualisation tools like Power BI or Strategy One.
- Ability to influence & drive change across business, technology & control functions.
