Job description

  • The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, operating, and optimizing enterprise and data center network infrastructure across on-prem environments.
  • The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical network systems while supporting upgrades, automation, troubleshooting, and global network operations., * Deploy, operate, and maintain data center network infrastructure across multiple environments.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance to reduce latency, packet loss, and jitter.
  • Support network architecture for scalability, resiliency, and high availability.
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve complex network issues with vendors and internal teams.
  • Manage software upgrades, patches, and system releases for network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation including diagrams, inventories, and runbooks.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee network buildouts and deployments.
  • Monitor global network health and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Train and support L1 teams for operational readiness.
  • Participate in on-call incident response support as L2.
  • Support capacity planning and future network expansion initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in enterprise and/or cloud network infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in data center networking including routers, switches, and NICs.
  • Experience with VXLAN/EVPN, BGP routing, and leaf-spine architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, PXE, and TFTP.
  • Experience with Cisco and Arista networking products.
  • Experience with Linux systems in networking environments.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Experience:

  • Experience deploying and operating data center front-end, back-end, and management networks.
  • Experience performing site visits and supporting network buildouts.
  • Experience supporting software releases, upgrades, and network patches.
  • Experience working with vendor technologies including Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, and AMD/Pensando.
  • Experience developing automation scripts using Python and Ansible.
  • Experience maintaining network documentation including diagrams and cabling layouts.
  • Experience supporting high availability and mission-critical network environments.
  • Experience with monitoring global network infrastructure and incident response (L2 on-call).
  • Experience working with tools such as Infoblox or MAAS.
  • Experience with virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure environments., * Experience with Cisco Nexus and Nexus Manager.
  • Cisco CCNP certification preferred.
  • Arista ACE-Level 3 certification or higher required.
  • Knowledge of RDMA networking and InfiniBand technologies.
  • Experience in network automation and infrastructure scripting.
  • Strong ability to explain complex network concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise and data center networking technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in network automation using Python and Ansible.
  • Strong documentation and diagramming skills.
  • Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.

Qualification And Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant network engineering certifications preferred.
