Operating on a global scale, this business combines cutting-edge open-source technologies with a highly skilled engineering team to deliver secure, high-performance solutions to customers worldwide.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation that values technical excellence, continuous learning, and the ability to adopt new technologies in a controlled and secure way.

We’re looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with a strong foundation in web application security and a genuine interest in Linux and modern microservices environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying real security risks, working across a variety of technologies, and contributing to the security and resilience of complex systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience conducting web application security testing using tools such as Burp Suite or OWASP, ZAP
  • Ability to analyse and validate automated security findings, distinguishing real risks from false positives
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ports)
  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals (processes, permissions, filesystems, services)
  • Experience working with the command line and basic scripting
  • Ability to interpret logs, alerts, and technical documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports
  • A methodical, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience using GitHub (pull requests, repositories, branching)

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to containerised environments and Kubernetes
  • Experience supporting container security (image scanning, runtime controls, access management)
  • Familiarity with Linux hardening standards (CIS benchmarks, STIGs)
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or SELinux
  • Awareness of vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus
  • Basic scripting skills (Bash or Python)
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in cyber security within a highly technical environment.
