Job Title:Mainframe Consultant (DB2)Duration: long-term contractLocation: Poland / EU-Based RemoteRole Description:We are looking for aMainframe Consultant (DB2)for z/OS DBAto design, implement, and support enterprise Db2 environments, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and compliance with SLA and organizational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide senior-levelDb2 for z/OS production support, troubleshooting, and performance management.Design and implement physical database solutions based on business requirements.Manage database releases, changes, QA, and production deployments.SupportDb2 V13 for z/OSenvironments.PerformSMP/E installation, maintenance, upgrades, and software deploymentactivities.ImplementRACF/ACF2 security and Db2 access controls.Build and maintainhigh-availability and replicationsolutions.Support data migration and conversion activities.Identify and implementautomation opportunitiesto improve operational efficiency.Work closely with application, infrastructure, and security teams.Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and best practices.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience as aDb2 for z/OS DBA.Strong experience withDb2 V13 for z/OS.Hands-on experience withSMP/Efor installation, maintenance, and upgrades.SolidIBM Z/Mainframedatabase experience.Experience withRACF/ACF2, security, HA, replication, and production support.Strong database troubleshooting and problem-determination skills.Experience with database release management and migrations.Banking/Financial Services experience is desirable.
