Job description
Our Client is seeking a Power BI Developer to support the IT Portfolio Management Office. This individual will be responsible for leading Power BI development efforts, supporting reporting enhancements, resolving defects, and assisting with IT project initiatives. The role includes technical leadership, systems integration, resource planning, and report development activities. This position reports directly to the IT Department Manager for the Portfolio Management Office.
- Locate and extract data from a variety of sources for analysis, modeling, and reporting.
- Aggregate data from multiple sources into meaningful hierarchies.
- Develop Power BI reports and analyses with guidance from senior team members.
- Present findings through data visualization and storytelling techniques.
- Provide enhancements to existing reports and resolve reporting defects.
- Support IT project implementation activities.
- Assist with resource planning, systems integration, and technical architecture initiatives.
- Manage work assignments and deliverables.
- Demonstrate safety-conscious behaviors in operational processes and procedures.
- Maintain a team-first attitude and prioritize the success of business partners and teammates.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, ask questions, and contribute ideas.
- Work independently while appropriately communicating status updates and escalating issues when necessary.
Compliance & Information Security
- Ensure compliance with required IT controls and information security requirements.
- Support planning, implementation, and execution of appropriate security controls.
- Provide constructive ideas and suggestions to Product Owners and Managers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

Sponsorship not available., * We’re looking for a Power BI Developer with experience building reports and dashboards, working with data warehousing environments, and utilizing the Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS). The ideal candidate can work independently, communicate insights effectively through reporting and visualization, and support both project-based and operational reporting initiatives., * Bachelor’s degree or higher in:
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Or equivalent field
- 3+ years of experience with:
- Data warehousing projects
- Data preparation
- Data gateways
- Power BI development experience
- SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
- SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services)
- SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
- SQL
