Job description

We are seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join a growing technology team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career developer looking to build their skills in a modern Microsoft technology environment while working on business-critical applications, data platforms, dashboards, and reporting solutions. Working within a collaborative development team, you will help design, build, and maintain web-based products that deliver data and insights to stakeholders across the business. This role offers exposure to modern technologies including C#, Blazor, SQL Server, Azure, and data-focused solutions, making it an ideal position for someone looking to develop a long-term career in software engineering.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain web-based applications, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Develop and enhance internal and client-facing data products
  • Write and optimise SQL queries and support data management activities
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of bespoke software solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions
  • Support data integrity, application performance, and ongoing improvements
  • Work closely with colleagues across international teams to deliver consistent technology solutions

Requirements

  • Experience with a strongly typed programming language such as C#, Java, or TypeScript
  • SQL experience, including writing complex queries and working with relational databases
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to development
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable

  • Experience with Blazor or .NET technologies
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure services
  • Microsoft Fabric experience
  • Python for data processing and visualisation
  • Understanding of UI/UX and modern web design principles
  • STEM-related degree or equivalent technical background
