Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst to work with Second Step and AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust). Working closely with the Head of Business Intelligence for Second Step, and the Head of Business Intelligence for AWP, you will support with analysis and provision of service and organisational performance data. The role will work with data for specific projects in the Mental Health Partnership, across VCSE and NHS services in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) Integrated Care Board (ICB) area.

If you are enthusiastic about working in a mental health organisation, working with data to monitor and evaluate quality and performance, to support outcomes for people using services, this could be the role for you. You will:

Work with Rio, and other relevant programs (Power BI and other data visualisation) and systems to build reports and dashboards for BI required by Second Step and AWP

Produce monthly performance reports and continuously improve the reporting systems. This will include maintaining systems for internal reporting and supporting managers with data requirements for external reporting

Identify patterns, trends and anomalies using statistical techniques

Carry out data validation and quality control checks

Work with colleagues to understand requests and develop reports to support analysis and interpretation of performance data and trends

Work with colleagues to ensure accurate data reporting to MHSDS

Work with broader partnership teams to support internal and external reporting from multiple organisations, sources and programmes

You will:

be passionate about using data to evidence the client journey

have strong data analysis skills

have a working knowledge of Rio, including building reports and Report Zone

be confident communicating with a wide range services users and staff

be able to work independently, following a brief, and reporting to senior management
