Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced DB2 DBA Consultant with strong expertise in DB2 database administration, SQL tuning, and stored procedure development. The ideal candidate will support enterprise DB2 environments, optimize database performance, and work closely with development teams on database solutions and production support., * Manage and maintain DB2 database environments for performance and availability

  • Perform SQL tuning and optimize complex database queries
  • Develop, troubleshoot, and enhance DB2 stored procedures *Support application teams with deployments, database design, and issue resolution

  • Monitor DB2 systems, resolve production incidents, and implement best practices

Requirements

Do you have experience in System tuning?, *10+ years of DB2 DBA and database development experience

  • Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning and query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with DB2 stored procedures and database troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of DB2 architecture, indexing, backup/recovery, and production support

Preferred Skills: *Experience with Scala development *Exposure to modernizing DB2 stored procedures using Scala *Experience in enterprise environments and database migration projects

  • Agile project experience preferred

Benefits & conditions

$60 - $70 an hour - Part-time, Contract
