Job description

Join to apply for the Second Line IT Engineer role at ASK4.

Job Overview

This is a permanent hybrid role based out of our Head Office in Sheffield, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8:00 to 17:00 or 12:00 to 21:00 on a rota basis. You will support our IT Solutions clients by providing Second Line support, handling escalations, and supporting client infrastructures, especially in Microsoft networking and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  1. Support server software installations, updates, and resolve technical issues.
  2. Attend client sites for onsite support and urgent fixes.
  3. Manage escalations and ensure accurate documentation.
  4. Assist with client information requests, audits, and ISO certifications.
  5. Develop and maintain client relationships.
  6. Participate in development projects independently and with the team.

Candidate Requirements

  1. UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
  2. Experience in technical support and resolving service desk issues.
  3. Excellent customer service skills.
  4. Willingness to learn and seek advice from specialists.
  5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and MikroTik Routers.
  6. Basic understanding of switches (HP, MikroTik, Zyxel) and Wireless APs (MikroTik, Unifi).
  7. Flexibility to work occasional weekends on call.
