Job description
An established IT services provider is looking for a motivated and customer-focused 1st Line IT Support Technician to join their growing team supporting multiple educational sites across East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong first-line support experience who enjoys working directly with users, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining IT infrastructure in a fast-paced environment., As a 1st Line IT Support Technician, you will provide onsite technical support to end users, ensuring IT systems, devices, and networks remain operational and effective. You’ll be responsible for resolving technical issues, maintaining equipment, and delivering excellent customer service across several client locations., Provide first-line technical support to staff and end users. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Support Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and server infrastructure. Monitor system performance and carry out preventative maintenance. Log, track, and update incidents through the helpdesk system. Assist with network troubleshooting and connectivity issues. Support printer maintenance and deployment. Install and replace network cabling where required. Liaise with third-party suppliers and contractors when necessary. Communicate planned maintenance and technical issues to users.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Experience in a 1st Line IT Support, IT Technician, Service Desk, or Helpdesk role. Good knowledge of: Microsoft Windows 11 Microsoft Office Microsoft 365 / Office 365 Microsoft Server environments Understanding of wired and wireless networking technologies. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure. Well organised with strong time management skills. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to IT support.
Desirable
Knowledge of Azure AD. Microsoft certifications. Previous experience supporting schools or education environments. Full UK driving licence.
