Job description

Klatch is one of the fastest-growingmarketing agencies in the health & wellness sector, with an incredible 265% growth in 2024 alone. We create highly effective campaigns and websites for healthcare clients, working with organisations of all sizes-from individual clinics to cross-border organisations spanning the UK, US, and Europe.

Our team is based in the heart of Hove on Palmeira Square, in a fantastic office that reflects our vibrant, collaborative culture. At Klatch, we embrace a holistic marketing approach and are committed to transparency at every level of communication. Our passion for excellence is reflected in everything we do, from optimising website experiences to delivering outstanding campaign results.

We’re growing fast and looking for a Part-Time Junior Front-End Developer to help own and improve client websites and shape new Klatch products. If you’re eager to make a visible impact and grow your skills, you’ll fit right in.

The Role

We’re hiring a Junior Front-End Developer to help us ship fast, accessible and performant web experiences, primarily on WordPress. You’ll work closely with the Founder, channel managers (SEO, PPC) and project managers, gaining hands-on experience across new builds, feature iterations and site optimisations.

  • Contract: Part-time (2-3 days/week).
  • Location: Hove (hybrid).
  • Start: ASAP
  • Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing new features and improving existing ones.
  • Work with Product/Project Managers to understand requirements and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate with designers and other product teams on customer-facing features.
  • Help with estimating, planning and executing small projects or tickets.
  • Maintain and improve the existing codebase under guidance.
  • Write well-structured, tested and performant code, with reviews and mentorship.

About You

We’re looking for a skilled and driven individual ready to make their mark in a fast-growing agency. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to play a pivotal role in our success, we want to hear from you.

  • 1 year professional front-end experience (agency or product).
  • Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions.
  • Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with non-engineers.
  • Able to manage priorities across multiple tickets and deadlines.
  • Portfolio or links to recent work (uni, personal or professional).

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience managing and building WordPress front-ends (themes/child themes, templates, hooks).
  • Valid HTML5 and CSS3/4 markup with semantic structure.
  • Google Tag Manager: tags, triggers, variables; confident using Preview/Debug and Tag Assistant to QA implementations.
  • Tracking basics: setting up and QA’ing GA4 events and common ad pixels (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn); basic dataLayer understanding and clean UTM usage.
  • Hosting & environment basics: managing WordPress hosts (e.g., WP Engine, Kinsta, cPanel/Plesk), setting up staging sites, handling backups/restores, managing SSL/TLS, making DNS updates (A/CNAME/TXT), configuring redirects (301/302), working with caching/CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare), and basic log/error troubleshooting.

Why Join Klatch?

  • Career Growth: Be part of a fast-growing agency where your contributions matter and your ideas are valued.
  • Collaborative Culture: Work in a supportive, transparent environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Impact: Manage campaigns that truly make a difference in the healthcare industry.
  • Hybrid Working: Enjoy flexibility with 2 days a week in our vibrant Hove office.
  • Strategic Involvement: Have a seat at the table for shaping Klatch’s future direction.
