Role Summary

Due to ongoing project expansion and strategic initiatives, our Client is seeking experienced Fullstack Developers holding active SC clearance to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role offers the chance to work on high-profile, long-term government-related projects, contributing significantly to security-focused software development. The position provides a unique opportunity to utilise your full technical skill set while supporting national security objectives in a hybrid working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain complex web applications using modern frameworks and languages, primarily React, Typescript, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices and high standards of security and performance.
  • Utilize containerisation tools such as Docker and Helm for deployment and environment consistency.
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation and configuration management using Ansible, Jenkins, and UNIX scripting.
  • Support and optimise database systems with MongoDB and Redis, ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
  • Adhere to security protocols and demonstrate active SC clearance from day one to meet project requirements.
  • Proven experience in fullstack development, with strong proficiency in React, Typescript, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot.
  • Active SC clearance is a mandatory requirement for immediate eligibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, Ansible, Jenkins, and UNIX scripting.
  • Solid understanding of message broker systems, such as RabbitMQ.
  • Experience working within security-conscious environments, ideally with defence or government projects.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead or oversee technical teams, with a balance of hands-on expertise and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of SFIA levels 4 and 5, with some seniority or team leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and Agile environments.
  • Previous experience in defence, consultancy, or equivalent secure sectors.
  • Additional expertise in project architecture, security assessments, or relevant compliance standards.
