Job description
We’re partnering with an organisation seeking an experienced Business Applications Manager to lead the delivery, support, and ongoing development of a portfolio of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an internal applications team, providing technical guidance and people leadership.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, including solution design, implementation, support, maintenance, and enhancement.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritise application improvements.
- Manage application availability, incident resolution, release planning, and change management.
- Work with third-party vendors and implementation partners to deliver projects and support services.
- Assess business needs and recommend the most appropriate technology approach, including evaluating off-the-shelf solutions versus bespoke development.
- Contribute to application architecture, technology roadmaps, and long-term strategic planning.
- Ensure solutions align with security, governance, and architectural standards.
- Track project progress, manage budgets and resources, and communicate updates to senior stakeholders.
- Promote best practices across application delivery, development, and operational support.

You’ll be an experienced applications leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of delivering enterprise technology solutions. You’ll be comfortable managing development teams while working collaboratively with business leaders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Experience managing enterprise application or business systems teams.
- A background working with ERP and/or CRM platforms (such as Dynamics 365, Salesforce, Workday, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience leading software development teams and making strategic technology decisions, including build-versus-buy evaluations.
- Strong vendor and supplier management experience.
- Knowledge of application delivery across Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
- Experience with application support, release management, and change management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- An understanding of cybersecurity, governance, and enterprise architecture principles.
