Typical Role Overview

• Location: Manchester, Bristol, London or nationwide UK
• Type: Contract, Full-time
• Day rate: £250-280 per day (or up to £850 per day, depending on experience and specialism)
• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical qualification
• Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent enterprise architecture credential

What You Would Do

• Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with client business objectives and technical constraints
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technology, operations and business functions to gather and validate requirements
• Evaluate and recommend cloud platforms, infrastructure components and integration patterns
• Document architectural decisions, trade-offs and implementation roadmaps for technical and non-technical audiences
• Support solution delivery teams through design reviews, technical governance and best-practice guidance
• Identify opportunities to optimise performance, scalability, security and cost across deployed solutions

What You Could Bring

• Proven experience designing enterprise solutions within cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, microservices, containerisation and integration design
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification or equivalent enterprise architecture qualification
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural blueprints
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with enterprise security, compliance and governance frameworks
