Job description

Direct applicants only (no agencies)

Hey, we’re Skippr AI

Your new interface is an agent. We build an AI agent, led by voice and vision, that operates software for people: they just ask, and it onboards them, guides them, and does the work. Drop it into your product with two lines of code and every user gets a live agent on day one. The same agent shows up wherever your users are: embedded in your product, in the meeting room, or across your team’s tools.

We’re a small, 100% AI-native team in Old Street, London, backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Moonfire, and angels from Google, Twilio, and Meta. We don’t just build agents, we use AI to optimise our own work every single day.

If that sounds like your kind of problem, we should talk.

What you’ll do

  • Modern stack: Build scalable, real-time systems. We value diverse backgrounds and skills. Some experience with a modern stack like ours (Hono, React, Neon, TypeScript, Python) or with AI-powered apps and agents is beneficial, but it isn’t a strict requirement.
  • Own features end-to-end: From intuitive user interfaces to scalable backend services and AI agent orchestration.
  • Agentic Experience: Shape intuitive experience for voice-first agent, and build the system behind it: tool use + MCP, memory, and real-time voice & vision.
  • Work closely with the founders: Shape and build our vision, balancing moving fast now with scaling later.

This role is for you if

  • You have at least 4 years of experience building software.
  • You’re a 0*1 builder who has shipped to production, ideally rapidly shipping apps and building scalable systems in containerised environments.
  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a startup. You know what it means to build something from scratch that real people actually use or pay for.
  • You use coding agent tools like Claude Code or Codex as your daily driver.
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You can juggle shifting priorities, decide when to let small fires burn, and when to dive in.

This role is not for you if

  • You want remote or hybrid work. We believe early-stage startups win by moving fast in the same room. This is an in-office role, 5 days a week in our Old Street office.
  • You dislike ambiguity. Priorities shift, experiments fail, and new opportunities appear. If you prefer stable roadmaps, this isn’t the place.
  • You don’t enjoy 0*1 environments. Early-stage means wearing multiple hats, solving unscoped problems, and building with imperfect information.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary plus meaningful equity (EMI options): Everyone here has skin in the game and upside if we win.
  • The chance to define entirely new markets for AI agents.
  • Real influence on architecture: You’ll make foundational decisions on our platform and SDK that shape how future engineers and customers build on top of it.
  • Exposure across the startup stack: Beyond code, sit in on user interviews, shape product strategy, and get a front-row seat to how startups actually grow.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Pension, private health insurance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • A team that’s genuinely excited: We’re obsessive about the problem, love what we’re building, and keep the culture sharp but supportive.
