Job description

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager, operating in all liquid asset classes across the world. We are a technology- and data-driven group implementing a scientific approach to investing. Combining data, research, technology, and trading expertise has shaped our collaborative mindset, which enables us to solve the most complex challenges. QRT’s culture of innovation continuously drives our ambition to deliver high-quality returns for our investors.

You will join a team focused on building scalable security, identity, secrets, and trust capabilities across QRT’s engineering and research environments. As these environments grow, manual security, identity, and trust processes can become bottlenecks. The team works closely with engineering teams and platform owners to create secure capabilities that are practical, automated, and easy to adopt.

Your Future Role within QRT

  • Security Platform Engineering
  • Build and operate security platforms as code.
  • Build reusable platform capabilities that reduce operational complexity over time.
  • Automate identity, secrets, and trust workflows.
  • Define and evolve secrets, identity, and workload authentication patterns across the organisation.
  • Develop custom integrations, tooling, and Vault extensions where they provide clear operational value.
  • Debug production issues across infrastructure, applications, and platforms.
  • Help teams adopt secure patterns without slowing delivery.
  • Reduce operational toil through automation, platform engineering, and standardised security patterns.

Your Present Skillset

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, identity and access management, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong engineering judgement and systems thinking
  • Strong communication skills and curiosity
  • Pragmatic approach to balancing security, usability, and delivery
  • Ability to automate repetitive work and reduce manual processes
  • Ability to understand how systems work and solve root causes rather than symptoms
  • Comfortable working across infrastructure, applications, security, and people
  • Experience or interest in technologies such as Vault, Terraform, Python, Go, Bash, Kubernetes, AWS, GitOps/CI/CD, OIDC/JWT, SailPoint, PrivX, and CyberArk
  • Ability to learn missing tools quickly

This is a hands-on production role. You will own the outcomes of the systems you build and help shape how secrets, identity, and trust capabilities evolve across the organisation.

QRT is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome diversity as essential to our success. QRT empowers employees to work openly and respectfully to achieve collective success. In addition to professional achievement, we offer initiatives and programmes to enable employees to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
