Job description
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform Data Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) within the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting modern data solutions, driving cloud transformation initiatives, and enabling advanced analytics, regulatory reporting, and data governance across financial systems., * Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures on Google Cloud Platform.
- Architect enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time data processing solutions using Google Cloud Platform services.
- Lead data modernization and cloud migration initiatives from on-premises platforms to Google Cloud Platform.
- Define data modeling standards, data integration frameworks, and metadata management strategies.
- Design batch and streaming data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform native services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and application teams to deliver data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance with financial industry regulations.
- Support regulatory reporting, risk management, fraud analytics, customer analytics, and financial reporting initiatives.
- Establish best practices for data architecture, performance optimization, scalability, and disaster recovery.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineering teams on cloud data solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong expertise in:
- BigQuery
- Cloud Storage
- Dataflow
- Pub/Sub
- Dataproc
- BigLake
- Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Cloud Functions
- Cloud Run
- Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and large-scale data integration.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (Dimensional, Star Schema, Snowflake).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Spark, and data processing frameworks.
- Experience with real-time and batch data architectures.
- Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Catalog, and Master Data Management.
- Strong understanding of security, encryption, IAM, and cloud compliance standards.
Financial Domain Expertise:
- Strong experience in Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, or FinTech.
- Experience with:
- Regulatory Reporting
- Risk Management
- AML/KYC
- Payments
- Lending & Mortgages
- Financial Data Warehousing
- Customer 360 Solutions
- Understanding of financial data models and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with highly regulated environments and sensitive financial data.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern data platforms.
- Exposure to AI/ML and GenAI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI).
- Google Cloud Platform Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Google Cloud Platform certifications highly preferred.
