TELECOMMUTE Lead Business Intelligence Engineer (Power BI/Azure)

This role supports one of the most visible analytics initiatives in the organization and will have direct interaction with executive leadership, including senior executives and enterprise decision makers.

The initial assignment for this position is the design and implementation of enterprise executive dashboards that provide a consolidated view of organizational performance across all major business and operational domains. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of ownership, urgency, professionalism, and executive presence.

Interviews will be conducted virtually through web conferencing tools, including audio and video.

Candidates should expect a combination of behavioral, technical, and solution-design interviews.

Candidates may be asked to provide examples of previous dashboard, reporting, or analytics solutions during the interview process and discuss the business outcomes those solutions enabled.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related technology disciplines
• 5+ years of advanced Power BI development experience, including enterprise-scale semantic models, DAX, Power Query, performance optimization, and security implementation
• Proven experience designing executive dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions consumed by senior leadership
• Experience translating complex business concepts into intuitive data visualizations, KPI frameworks, and executive scorecards
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing methodologies, metadata management, and enterprise data architecture
• Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple business functions and operational domains
• Experience implementing row-level security, governance standards, and trusted analytics practices
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements directly from senior executives and business stakeholders
• Strong presentation, communication, and data storytelling skills
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development capabilities and integrating AI-powered analytics experiences into reporting solutions
• Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Genie, or modern cloud-native analytics platforms
• Ability to independently lead highly visible, ambiguous, and complex initiatives with minimal supervision
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional technical and business teams

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Notebooks, Real-Time Intelligence, Semantic Models, and Fabric administration concepts
• Experience delivering enterprise reporting solutions for healthcare, insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries
• Experience implementing conversational analytics, AI agents, or natural language query solutions
• Experience with data governance, data quality programs, and enterprise metric standardization initiatives
• Experience leading analytics modernization or cloud migration initiatives
• Experience creating technical training programs, communities of practice, or enablement content
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and product-centric operating models
• Strong understanding of change management and adoption strategies for analytics products
