Job description
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using modern development frameworks and best practices.
- Build secure, reliable, and high-performance backend services using Node.js, NestJS, Python, and TypeScript.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular.
- Design, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity.
- Develop and deploy applications on AWS using serverless and container-based architectures.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment processes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks using Confluence.
- Ensure applications adhere to cybersecurity, compliance, and software quality standards required for regulated environments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Designs, develops and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

Requirements
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Digital & AI engineering team supporting mission-critical applications within the nuclear energy industry. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-native applications while ensuring compliance with U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on full-stack developer with strong cloud engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.
Compliance Requirement: Due to U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must successfully complete the required Nuclear Part 810 background screening.
