Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Full Stack Mobile Engineer (Android/iOS) for a leading client in the QSR and restaurant technology space. This individual will take ownership of the organization’s customer-facing mobile ordering applications and play a critical role in shaping the future of the platform. The ideal candidate will lead the migration from an existing .NET MAUI environment to a modern React/React Native and Node.js architecture while remaining heavily involved in hands-on development. This position requires a proven technical leader who can mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and deliver high-quality mobile experiences for customers. The role offers the opportunity to influence product strategy, lead a distributed engineering team, and build innovative digital ordering solutions that directly impact the customer experience.

Requirements

3-4+ years of Lead Engineer or Engineering Leadership experience
Experience owning products/applications end-to-end
Strong experience developing mobile applications for Android & iOS
Hands-on experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript development experience
Experience building applications with React and/or React Native
Backend development experience with Node.js
Understanding of REST APIs and mobile application architecture
Experience publishing and maintaining applications in App Store and Google Play Store
QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or Retail industry experience is required
Experience leading, mentoring, and managing engineering teams
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills
Ability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX * Experience with Redux or other state management solutions
CI/CD pipeline experience for mobile applications
Experience with restaurant technology or digital ordering platforms
Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude
React Native migration experience
Advanced mobile performance optimization expertise
