Job description

Your new companyYou will be joining a secure engineering environment supporting the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a business-critical platform and its associated services. The role sits within an established engineering team responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security and performance of systems operating within a secure operational environment.

Your new roleAs a DevOps Engineer, you will support platform infrastructure, deployment pipelines and live services across AWS-hosted environments. Working closely with development, support and platform teams, you will help maintain operational stability while contributing to automation, infrastructure improvements and service resilience. Key responsibilities

  • Support AWS-hosted infrastructure and platform services.
  • Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Support Docker-based applications across development, test and production environments.
  • Assist with CI/CD pipeline development and support using Jenkins, Groovy and GitLab.
  • Monitor platform health, performance and availability using Elastic, Kibana and related tools.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure, deployment and service-related incidents.
  • Support networking technologies including VPNs, OpenVPN, Transit Gateway and API Gateway.
  • Maintain NGINX, PostgreSQL and associated platform services.
  • Contribute to operational resilience, disaster recovery and service continuity activities.
  • Perform platform maintenance, patching and security updates.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and automation.
  • Participate in incident response and on-call support activities.
  • Work within established engineering standards, security controls and operational processes.
  • Support a 24/7 operational environment and participate in on-call rotas as required.
