We are seeking a Graduate Data Engineer / Analyst (Power Platform) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for data engineering, analytics, and Microsoft Power Platform tools. You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining data solutions that drive actionable insights and business value for our clients. Key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Power BI, including working with data models, relationships, measures, DAX, and performance optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain apps using Power Apps, applying best-practice development approaches and some coding knowledge beyond low-code functionality.
  • Write and optimise SQL queries for data access, transformation, and validation.
  • Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and analysis.
  • Interpret data, identify trends and issues, and translate findings into actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with colleagues using version control (Git) in a modern development environment.
  • Communicate findings and solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Early career or recent graduate in Computer Science, Data Science, or a equivalent educational experience.
  • Essential: Hands-on experience with Power BI (building dashboards, reports, and data models) and Power Apps (app development, with some coding).
  • Essential: Proficient in SQL and Python for data engineering and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Exposure to version control (Git) and an interest in modern development practices.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in areas such as data modelling, data pipelines, workflow automation (Power Automate), and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

Benefits & conditions

  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing by 1 day every two years
  • Flexible working options - remote/hybrid
  • Mental health and wellbeing support, including access to counselling
  • Annual wellbeing allowance (e.g. personal training, fitness, wellness apps)
  • Up to 10% of your salary in employee benefits, including critical illness cover, life insurance, and private healthcare (post-probation)
  • Generous company pension contribution
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities
