u2022 Associate degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, information systems, business, communications, or a related field, or an additional two or more years of relevant experience in place of the degree requirement.\n \u2022 At least 8 years of relevant experience aligned to the responsibilities of this position.\n \u2022 Experience implementing or operating DLP and data-security technologies.\n \u2022 Strong understanding of database security, access controls, encryption, and data protection.\n \u2022 Knowledge of privacy and sensitive-data handling requirements.\n \u2022 CompTIA Security+ certification.\n \u2022 Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certification.\n \u2022 Ability to obtain and maintain the required federal background investigation, Public Trust determination, or security clearance associated with the position.\n \n \nPreferred Qualifications\n \u2022 Experience protecting PHI, PII, or sensitive research information.\n \u2022 Experience with cloud-based data protection and DLP technologies.\n \u2022 Federal privacy or security experience.\n \n \nPhysical Requirements\n \u2022 Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer.\n \u2022 Ability to communicate effectively through virtual and in-person meetings.\n \u2022 Ability to perform duties in an office, remote, or hybrid environment based on program requirements.\n

Our experienced professionals work closely with our customers to solve complex challenges, protect critical information, and support essential government missions.\n \n At QBE, we turn the possible into the proven.\n \n \nOverview\n \n QBE, LLC is seeking a Senior Cyber Database Engineer - Data Protection/DLP to engineer and support data protection, database security, and Data Loss Prevention capabilities for NIH/OD-OIT.\n \n This position is primarily remote but will require some TDY.\n \n \nResponsibilities\n \u2022 Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise data protection and DLP technologies.\n \u2022 Develop controls for protecting sensitive information across endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, and data repositories.\n \u2022 Support database security monitoring and access-control requirements.\n \u2022 Develop and tune DLP policies, rules, and detection logic.\n \u2022 Investigate potential data leakage and policy violations.\n \u2022 Work with privacy, legal, security, and system stakeholders to define data-protection requirements.\n \u2022 Support classification and protection of sensitive data.\n \u2022 Evaluate database configurations and access for security risks.\n \u2022 Support integration of DLP and database security tools with SOC technologies.\n \u2022 Support incident response involving suspected unauthorized disclosure or data loss.\n \n #qf\n \n #qg\n Requirements:\n, u2022 Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.\n \n \nEqual Opportunity Employer\n \n QBE, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
