Job description

Insight Global is seeking an Enterprise Architect focused on an ERP platform to help shape, standardize, and govern the enterprise application landscape of a local manufacturing client. This role will drive consistency in how the core business platform is used, define reusable architecture patterns, support vendor and system evaluations, and ensure that ERP application and data integration, and related platform decisions align to enterprise strategy, business capabilities, and a services-based architecture approach.

The ideal candidate is a pragmatic enterprise architecture who understands how ERP systems enable end-to-end business processes across functions such as sales, service, finance, supply chain, manufacturing, customer engagement, and master data management. This person will partner closely with Business Relationship Managers, business leaders, product teams, solution architects, and delivery teams to design solutions that enable the business while reducing complexity, duplication, and long-term technical risk.

Requirements

Significant experience in enterprise architecture, ERP solution architecture patterns and service, application architecture, or a related technology leadership role supporting large-scale enterprise systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications.

  • Hands-on knowledge of ERP platforms and the business capabilities they commonly support, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, plan-to-produce, customer service, sales, marketing, field service, and master data processes.

  • Strong understanding of integration architecture, including API-led integration, event-driven patterns, service orchestration, batch processing, data synchronization, canonical models, and middleware or integration platform concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate technology options, vendor platforms, and solution alternatives using business value, architecture fit, risk, cost, complexity, and enterprise alignment criteria.

  • Experience defining architecture standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, and governance practices for enterprise platforms.

  • Ability to lead complex solution discussions across business and IT stakeholders, including executives, BRMs, product owners, architects, developers, data teams, and infrastructure teams.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to explain technical trade-offs in business terms and guide stakeholders toward practical decisions.

  • Working knowledge of security, data governance, compliance, identity, resiliency, and operational support considerations for enterprise applications. - Experience with multiple major ERP ecosystems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or comparable enterprise platforms.

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, filtration, industrial products, or global business operations.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and practices such as TOGAF, capability mapping, application portfolio management, reference architecture development, and architecture review boards.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, data platforms, analytics environments, integration platforms, and modern application delivery models.

  • Experience influencing process standardization across regions, functions, or business units while supporting local business requirements where justified.
