Job description

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Systems Test Engineer 2’s for a contract opportunity in Plymouth, MN., o Prepare test plans, coordinate with test facilities, provide test execution oversight, analyze test data and prepare final test reports. o Perform climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, electromagnetic effects, bench testing of electronic devices, and safety and reliability testing. o With proper training must be willing to be in the presence of and handle hazardous devices. o Resolve test-related technical issues and support failure and analysis activities. o Data collection, reduction, analysis, and presentation. o Ability to travel.

Requirements

o BS in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 2-5 years’ experience. o Proficiency with data analysis tools such as MS Excel, Matlab, SciPy, etc. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Must be U.S. Citizen., o Experience with one or more of the following: climatic, vibration, mechanical shock, Electromagnetic Effects (EME), and Insensitive Munitions (IM) Testing. o Experience using test equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, digital acquisition systems, etc. o Understanding of energetic testing, components, and materials. o Familiarity with one or more of the following: MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-331, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-2105, JOTP-052 and JOTP-053. o Experience using commercial and/or government test facilities for environmental, EME, or energetic test activities. o Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION: BS in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field is required. School must be accredited.

Benefits & conditions

Full-Time 9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at our facility in Plymouth, MN. Start time- 7 or 8:30am until 4pm or 5:30pm.
