Job description
We’re seeking exceptional talent to help develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazon’s scale. We’re building revolutionary robotic systems that combine innovative AI, sophisticated control systems, and advanced mechanical design to create adaptable automation solutions capable of working safely alongside humans in dynamic environments. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of robotics and automation at an unprecedented scale, working with world-class teams pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in robotic manipulation, locomotion, and human-robot interaction., Own the end-to-end program planning and execution for robot pilot deployments-defining scope, schedule, resource needs, risk mitigations, and success criteria from site readiness through go-live and steady-state handover.
- Drive the non-recurring engineering (NRE) program to stand up the Deployment Service & Support team, including tooling development, process creation, vendor onboarding, and infrastructure buildout, converting first-time complexity into scalable, repeatable frameworks.
- Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison between Systems Engineering, HW/SW product teams, Operations, Supply Chain, and internal customers to align deployment dependencies and unblock delivery.
- Build and maintain integrated program schedules across multiple workstreams; identify critical-path risks, drive trade-off decisions, and escalate effectively when cross-organizational dependencies create roadblocks.
- Define deployment readiness criteria, launch checklists, and go/no-go gate mechanisms that ensure quality and safety standards are met prior to each site activation.
- Establish program metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to provide leadership visibility into deployment health, team capacity, and NRE milestone progress.
- Partner with field teams to capture deployment learnings and drive them back into engineering requirements, process improvements, and updated standard work documentation.
- Coordinate vendor and contractor engagements for outsourced tooling/fixture development, managing SOWs, timelines, and deliverable quality.
