Software Engineer I

DUTIES As a successful candidate for the Software Engineer I role, you will serve as a Software Engineer and Data Analyst supporting a fast-paced, mission-focused team responsible for developing and integrating innovative solutions for a high-priority customer. You will collaborate closely with analysts, operators, and fellow software engineers to design, develop, and deploy capabilities that enhance mission effectiveness and operational decision-making. In this role, you will leverage AI and machine learning technologies to support data-driven solutions, develop rapid prototypes to meet evolving mission requirements, and contribute to integrating new capabilities into existing platforms and systems. You will work across the full development lifecycle, helping to deliver scalable, reliable, and mission-centric solutions in a dynamic operational environment., * Elicit, analyze, and refine requirements from stakeholders to identify opportunities for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions

• Develop automated analysis and triage capabilities across multiple collection techniques and data sources
• Design, develop, and integrate new capabilities into existing platforms, frameworks, and SDKs
• Build scripts, tools, and user interfaces to convert, normalize, and process data for operational use
• Automate tasking, collection, and workflow processes through the development and integration of new technologies
• Develop rapid prototypes to validate concepts and address evolving mission requirements
• Translate operational needs into scalable software solutions and analytical capabilities
• Collaborate with analysts, operators, and software engineers to support mission objectives
• Enhance existing platforms through capability development, integration, and process automation
• Support the delivery of data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and mission effectiveness
• Analyze complex technical challenges and develop innovative software and automation solutions
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of mission systems and workflows

QUALIFICATIONS Three (3) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Additional requirements:

• Experience working with AI, machine learning, and data analysis platforms and tooling
• Production-grade software development experience using Python or JavaScript
• Experience deploying, managing, and supporting production services in fast-paced operational environments
• Experience with service containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipeline methodologies
• Experience utilizing Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence, for project tracking, collaboration, and documentation
• Strong software development, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience developing and integrating scalable software solutions within existing platforms and services
• Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop effective solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, mission-focused engineering environment
• Experience supporting software solutions throughout the full development lifecycle, from design through deployment and sustainment, * Experience developing solutions with agentic AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar platforms
• Experience programming in additional languages such as Java or C
• Experience prototyping and developing web applications using JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue
• Experience analyzing cybersecurity-related data sets, including network traffic and operating system events
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
• Experience supporting production CNO capabilities and operational environments
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows and automation technologies
• Experience working with large-scale data processing, analysis, or intelligence-focused applications
• Understanding of cyber operations, intelligence analysis, and mission-focused data workflows
• Experience integrating analytical, AI/ML, or automation capabilities into operational systems and platforms
